Recently I was asked to visit a local New York City school for special needs students.

My high school sweetheart was now teaching there. She proposed that I come in and teach the kids the basics of comic book writing, drawing and basic storytelling.

These kids were amazing. Each one of the concepts were more insane, inventive and innocent than the next.

Several kids teamed up for Robotman, who’s origin seem quite identical to the robot in Black Sabbath’s Iron Man.

One girl had a whole comic where the planets were different characters, another not only submitted 38 more pages than anyone else, she also left detailed instructions for the others on how to perfect “her style”

I made 3-4 more visits with the kids and their stories really evolved and by the end of process we were able to created 20 handmade comic book anthologies of all the students work,

The kids voted to call it CC Comics, and after the vote, I asked why CC? and not one of them could remember.

Simply Brilliant.
