Announced during E3 2017, Square Enix released a new gameplay trailer for Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The new Gamescom gameplay trailer focuses on the game’s story, showcases some of the new environments and characters of Arcadia Bay, and takes place three years before the events of the first game in the series. Players will take on the role of a rebellious 16 year-old, Chloe Price, who forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber; a beautiful and popular girl destined for success. When Rachel’s world is turned upside down by a family secret, it takes this new-found alliance to give each of them the strength to overcome their demons.†

Ashly Burch, Chloe’s original voice actor, returns to Arcadia Bay in this three episode story that is set before the events of the first Life is Strange game. Before the Storm focuses on Chloe meeting Rachel prior to Chloe reuniting with Max. Unlike Max in the previous Life is Strange game, Chloe has no rewind power. Therefore, her sharp tongue will require her to live with whatever she says. Every single action and choice will have a direct consequence in the short, mid and long term just like they did in the original series installment.

Be sure to be on the look out for the release of Life is Strange: Before the Storm’s first episode on August 31st, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).
