Acer Predator Helios 500 Gaming Laptop
Acer also unveiled a new flagship gaming laptop in the form of the Predator Helios 500.
Designed for extreme gamers, the Predator Helios 500 is a gaming beast. It features up to overclockable 8th Gen Intel Core i9+ processors and overclockable GeForce® GTX 1070 graphics. Intel® Optane™ memory1 increases responsiveness and load times, while ultra-fast NVMePCIe SSDs, Killer DoubleShot Pro networking, and up to 64GB of memory keep the action going, making the Helios 500 the ideal gaming notebook for graphic-intensive AAA titles and live streaming.– Acer Predator Helios 500 Gaming Laptop Press Kit
The Predator Helios 500 uses NVIDIA® G-SYNC® to back up their 4K UHD and FHD IPS 17.3-inch display options, each with 144Hz refresh rates, to combat stuttering or tearing in images. The laptop houses a Thunderbolt™ 3 port, a DisplayPort and an HDMI 2.0 port to support the use of up to three external monitors. In the sound department, the laptop features two speakers and a subwoofer powered by Acer‘s own sound technology, Acer TrueHarmony™, as well as Waves MAXXAudio®.
As with the Predator Orion desktops, proprietary cooling is also present in the Predator Helios 500 as well. Here, you have two Acer AeroBlade™ 3D metal fans and five heat pipes that work to circulate air throughout the laptop, as well as fan speed controls available to the user via the PredatorSense app. The PredatorSense app is Acer’s very own hardware customization software, allowing you control and monitor the laptop’s overclocking, lighting, hotkeys, and temperature. In terms of lighting and hotkeys, the Predator Helios 500’s keyboard features RBG lighting with four lighting zones, anti-ghosting technology, and five dedicated programmable keys.
The Acer Predator Helios 500’s availability is as follows…
– North America in July starting at $1,999
