Razer Showcases Award Winning Razer Blade Stealth #CES2016

In the past five CES shows, Razer has been winning Best of Show awards like it’s a formality. This time, at CES 2016, it’s no different. Razer unveiled the Razer Nabu Watch, the Razer Stargazer and their latest Best of Show product for Best PC, the Razer Blade Stealth. In the market of Windows 10 touchscreen netbooks, the weight falls on the PC makers to make their product outshine the rest. Since this is Razer we’re talking about, you’re probably expecting a netbook that plays games using laptop-grade graphics cards such as an NVIDIA M Series something-or-other. But what if you were told that you could instead use full size desktop level graphics cards of your choosing?

Before we dive into the gaming aspect, lets appreciate what the Razer Blade Stealth is at its core. Coming in at 0.52 inches thin and 2.75 pounds light, the Razer Blade Stealth sports an aircraft grade aluminum chassis and a 12.5-inch touch display. Models will incorporate 6th gen Intel® Core i7 processors, PCIe SSD’s and 8 GB of dual-channel memory. Clearly there’s a lot of power to behold in the Razer Blade Stealth’s sleek build. Via Thunderbolt 3, it will even house the latest in USB connectivity, USB-C, which delivers transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps.

The Razer Blade Stealth endeavors to look as good as the power held within. Its touch display comes in two variants, an Ultra HD 4K with 3840 x 2160 resolution and a Quad HD with 2560 x 1440. The Ultra HD 4K version even touts 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Look down from the screen to find a keyboard with individually backlit RGB keys that can display up to 16.8 million colors. A multitude of lighting effects are available through Razer’s own peripheral customization software, Synapse. That’s a lot of beauty, power and flare for a netbook housing Intel® HD Graphics 520. Don’t worry about the graphics just yet because all we covered was just all of the latest nooks and crannies stuffed into an otherwise flashy and powerful travel companion.
