That’s right. Given all that there is to cover at E3, we’re still not done talking about it… Of course, we had to touch on the latest in PC gaming hardware by Alienware. At E3 2016, Alienware showcased hardware geared towards various PC gaming markets: desktops, Steam Machine consoles, and laptops. Introducing the new Alienware Aurora, Alienware Alpha, and Alienware 13 OLED. Let’s dive into each.
Alienware Aurora (R5) Gaming Desktop

The new Alienware Aurora is a mid-tower desktop with Alienware’s first chassis supporting tool-less access to graphics cards, hard drives and memory. The new Alienware Aurora is even ready to power optional CPU liquid cooling.

The Alienware Aurora touts readiness for today’s (and tomorrow’s) VR requirements as well as readiness for three 4K displays, depending on your unique configuration of course. - 500 GB HDD storage to up 2TBs of storage
Want a simpler gaming desktop with a more compact footprint? The new Alienware Alpha may be more down your alley. Designed to work as a gaming console, the Alienware Alpha is a gaming PC at its core. With Alienware’s HiveMind interface, users can browse through and access Steam games, media files, or other PC programs straight from a controller. If you’re worried that the Alienware Alpha may be left behind in graphics performance given its console-esque build, you can always opt to add on the Alienware Graphics Amp.
The Alienware Graphics Amp is a separate module which is ready to house virtually any current or future video cards. This optional add-on then opens up the Alienware Alpha to VR and 4K gaming while enhancing the Steam Machine’s overall life span for years to come. The Alienware Alpha combined with the Alienware Graphics Amp is geared to handle your meatier gaming experiences while staying flexible for the video cards of the future. The Alienware Alpha starts off at $599 with configurable options, which can be seen here.

Alienware 13 OLED Gaming Laptop
- 6th Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs
- Graphics options include NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M with 2GB up to the GeForce GTX 965M with 4GB

- NEW OLED QHD touchscreen display
- Killer Networking Ethernet and Wifi
If you’re looking into gaming laptops, then your next stop may be with the Alienware 13 OLED. The Alienware 13 OLED now gives you a 13-inch OLED touchscreen display option. OLED displays are becoming more and more common nowadays, appearing in higher end televisions as well as smartphones. The benefit of OLED is no different with the Alienware 13 OLED. The OLED display is that of independently lit pixels, delivering sharper well-defined colors. With independently lit pixels, OLED can establish “true black” in images by shutting off individual pixels where applicable. That means with an OLED display, you’re due in for vibrant presentation of colors.
Also, just because the Alienware 13 OLED is a gaming laptop, it doesn’t mean you have to live and die with a laptop-grade “M” graphics card. Just like with the Alienware Alpha (R2), the Alienware 13 OLED also comes compatible with the Alienware Graphics Amp. Now you can power your gaming laptop with desktop-grade gaming graphics. And just like that, your Alienware 13 OLED can be a longer-tern investment than you would normally get with a gaming laptop. Configurable at Dell’s website, the starting price for the Alienware 13 OLED is $1299. Check it out for yourself here.
