Funko reveals the cutest Rock Candy during Toy Fair 2016

It’s no secret that a huge amount of our time was spent at the Funko booth during Toy Fair 2016. Funko has grown a lot in 2015 and it’s just hard to keep up sometimes. From Pop! to Vinyl Sugar, Funko is expanding once again with new figurine lines as well as apparel and housewares. Today I felt that we should check out the absolutely adorable ladies of Funko’s latest line: Rock Candy.

The Rock Candy line expands upon Funko’s vinyl figurines that were announced last year and the first wave will feature DC Comics heroines & villains, as well as a new and exciting partnership with Barbie®. Each figure is 5-inches tall and comes with a removable base!

Rock Candy received an overwhelming amount of praise during New York Toy Fair“‡ with their sweeter side. The ladies of Rock Candy are not overtly sexualized figures. This might be why most people instantly gravitated towards the line. Often times, whenever we see DC heroines and villains it’s almost always in sexy poses and clothes. Additionally, it’s not often that we see Barbie® figures created by anyone other than Mattel. The entire first wave of the toy line is utterly adorable and refreshing.

Rock Candy: DC Comics and Rock Candy: Batman v Superman vinyl figures will be available in May 2016.
Rock Candy: Barbie™ will be available in July 2016.

The Rock Candy: DC Comics

DC Classics like Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, and the incorrigible Harley Quinn are part of the debut wave!

Modern Batgirl and DC TV Supergirl ensure that there’s something for all DC fans!

Rock Candy: Batman v Superman

Batman v Superman might focus on “Krypton’s Son versus the Bat of Gotham,” but Wonder Woman is a force to reckon with!

Rock Candy: Barbie™†

The 1959 Barbie® figure dons a vintage swimsuit, 1965 Astronaut Barbie® is prepared for space travel, and 1971 Barbie® displays hippie flower power!

1973 Barbie® is a stoic surgeon, 1977 and 1980 Barbie® figures are committed to glam, 1984 Barbie® is ready to hit the gym, and 1986 Barbie® is about the take the stage!
