Holiday Gift Guide 2012 – Double-Jump’s Picks

Double-Jump spends his day double-jumping over users’ IT HelpDesk requests so that he has more time to double-jump in games. He enjoys double-jumping in PC, console and mobile games. His element resides mainly in Shooters, RPGs, and Fighters with a hint of the miscellaneous. The only time he sits still is when he gets his hands on a gadget.

» Double-Jump shares his picks for this holiday season.

Gametel

Fructel’s Gametel is a highly portable controller for PC, iOS, and Android. Its light, has the size and form-factor of a smartphone, and charges via a standard mini usb port. The controller has a comfortable retro make, and latches on firmly to seemingly any smart phone (for some, even with the case still attached!) With its great performance, response time and feel, its the perfect buy for the frequent commuter, casual-to-serious gamer, or both.

Available from Amazon.

Sleeping Dogs

United Front’s highly cinematic and well-voice-acted injection into the cross-platform arena was released by Square Enix for PS3, XBox 360 and PC this year. Gameplay is exciting and intuitive. The plot is immersive and the surrounding world keeps you interested. Dive straight into main story missions or just goof off in the vast sandbox, both filled with martial arts, shoot outs, car chases and explosions. And just when you think you are done, downloadable content will keep you coming back.

Available from Amazon.
