Confirming the Reddit leaks, Roy from Fire Emblem and Ryu from Street Fighter have been confirmed as upcoming DLC for Super Smash Bros. Roy will largely control like he did in Melee with stronger close range attacks when compared to Marth. Ryu will control like no other smash fighter with varying attack strength based on how long you hold the attack button, a easy Smash Bros style specials and a stronger Street Fighter style special. This means that inputing Arcade-Stick-Qcf.png+Arcade-Button-Punch.png will produce a Hadouken, just like in Street Fighter II. This skill and combo based character will no doubt be popular for tournament players and fans of the Street Fighter series. Ryu will launch with an included Street Fighter stage, Suzaku Castle for 5.99 for Wii U or 3DS and 6.99 as a bundle for both. Roy will be released by himself for 3.99 for Wii U or 3DS and 4.99 as a bundle. Available Now!

Also announced was the return of 3 classic 64 stages, Kirby’s Dreamland, Peache’s Castle, and Hyrule Castle. A number Mii Costumes from Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Animal Crossing, and Mega Man. Each costume will also be coming out today! Costumes will be available for individualy 0.75 for Wii U or 3DS and 1.15 as a bundle for both systems or as Wave 2 bundle pack for  6.00 for Wii U or 3DS and 9.20 as a bundle.

New stages will be  1.99 for Wii U or 3DS and 2.99 as a bundle, Dreamland is available right now with the other two being released later.

Finally, the entire DLC pack, including every new costume; Ryu, Roy and Lucas; and the Dreamland and Suzaku Castle can be purchased for  21.96 for Wii U or 3DS and 29.16 as a bundle today!

In Amiibo news, it has been confirmed that every stock and DLC character will have a released Amiibo, including the Ryu and Roy. The next wave of characters will include ROB, Mr Game and Watch, Duck Hunt, Falco and Mii Fighters and releases in September.
