Fables: The Deluxe Edition Book One Bill Willingham’s Fables is a wonderfully written comic series about a society of folkloric characters from the stories we grew up with living secret lives in modern day New York City. The deluxe editions are high quality hard back copies with glossy, full color pages displaying the breathtakingly beautiful artwork the series is known for. Each book spans 10 issues, biting off a sizable story arc in the process. Gorgeous both inside and out, my steadily growing collection of these makes for a tremendous presence on my bookshelf. I highly recommend the series in any format you can get it, but these deluxe books are a far more delicious way to experience Fables whether as a first time foray or long awaited return. |

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Hands down one of the best shows to grace our television screens. Breaking Bad wrapped up its final season earlier this year, forcing us to say goodbye to beloved characters like Walt, Jesse, Saul and Hank. Luckily the kind folks at AMC have unveiled a mindblowing complete series boxset that is packed to the gills with goodies and extras for the Heisenberg enthusiast. The collection comes in a sturdy, well-designed replica case made to look like one of Walt’s money barrels from the show. In addition to having every season you’ll also find a newly made two-hour documentary, 16 page booklet by Vince Gilligan and a Los Pollos Hermanos apron to wear while you rifle through your treasure-trove of DVD’s. While the price may be a bit over the top for some, the true collector is going to want to get their meth-covered hands on this set. |
