Municipal Waste – The Art of Partying

5 Stars

Yes! An early candidate for album of the year! Our favorite thrash-trash titans return with The Art of Partying, a rip-roarious ride that they boldly claim with “FUCK YOU UP.” And fucked up we are. Singer, Tony Foresta is in fine form here especially on the title track, where he conjures up sweet memories of Lee Ving fronting Fear in his prime. Guitarist Ryan Waste and bassist “Land” Phil seem to be in deadly speed duel with each other and Dave Witte just might be the most underated drummer in metal. The boys always deliver the best song titles and this album is no exception with “A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Destroyer,)” “Beer Pressure,” and “Lunch Hall Food Brawl.” The Art of Partying has so many classic moments, but the beers cracking open on “Born to Party” easily takes the [space] cake.
