Why pay for glam and glitz when you don’t want either? ROCCAT has got you covered with the Noz Stereo Gaming Headset.

If I may be candid with you all, I’ve never had the luxury of demoing a ROCCAT product and had to do some homework as to what their story is. When the opportunity to review a couple of their pieces presented itself, I could not have been more excited to do so. While I love my Logitech and my Razer, there is something about the smaller guy, the unsung heroes of gaming, that really pique my interest as a tech reviewer, both good and bad. Now let’s review the ROCCAT Nos Stereo Gaming Headset.

I’m going to say something here and I don’t want anyone to take in the wrong way, I will clarify momentarily. This is an entry level, budget friendly gaming headset. Coming in at $69.99, this is one of the most affordable headsets that will do everything you NEED it to do. The Noz Stereo Gaming Headset may come off as a stripped down headset in contrast of the headsets I typically review here. Stick with me for a second. This is not a bad thing. Because this headset doesn’t have RGB lighting or 7.1 Surround sound, you are not paying for things you do not need. There is no reason to buy a Ferrari when all the driving you do is from the Post Office and back. So, why spend the money on performance you just don’t need or want?
What you are getting here with the ROCCAT Noz Stereo Gaming Headset is a beautifully designed gaming headset that excels in comfort and sounds even better. Crafted with German Engineering, this headset will stand the test of time. A lot of headsets, and I mean a lot that are at this $70 price range, are cheaply made using a lot of plastic pieces that just aren’t going to hold up to serious gaming sessions. Just because you are getting a less expensive headset, that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice quality and the Noz is a perfect example of this. The use metal in the headband and the hinges is what sets this budget-friendly headset incredibly high on my list of go-to headsets.

Here is one of the most incredible facts about the ROCCAT Noz Gaming Headset. Even with the use of a decent amount of metal, it only weighs 210 grams making this one of the lightest headsets I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. For those of you who are new to gaming, or trying to take it to the next level, the weight is an important factor when it comes to comfort. The lighter the headset the less “ear fatigue” you encounter. Essentially, if you have a heavier/less comfortable headset on for a while, you ears can become sweaty, or the tension of the ear-cups can actually cause your ears to hurt afterwords. Not with this headset. Not at all. With its lightweight, over-sized ear-cup design and use of a higher-end fabric, you will experience comfort like no other.
Even with the lightweight design of the Noz Gaming Headset, you are not sacrificing sound. Wielding 50mm drivers (basically the speaker size), you will enjoy all of the sounds you’d expect while playing your favorite games. Highs aren’t distorted, mediums are crisp and the lows are warm as they should be. This headset does feature a removable microphone that you can take off so you can rock out to your tunes while on the go with the included mobile adapter.

I can’t stress enough the quality of this headset, and especially at this price. If you are looking to up your game but still need to be mindful of your budget or want to test the waters of gaming more competitively, then the ROCCAT Noz is the headset for you, without a doubt. It is truly a steal at $69.99 and you can order it for yourself from ROCCAT directly by clicking here.
