Here we are, right at the launch of Destiny 2’s latest large expansion drop, Lightfall. Guardians prepare to face Calus, the newest Disciple of the Witness, alongside the Pyramid fleet. Guardians will wield a new subclass called Strand as they explore a new destination, the Neptune megacity of Neomuna. There, they will confront Calus and his new Shadow Legion. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
Well, thanks to SteelSeries’ latest collaboration with Bungie, you can get even more excited about this expansion with a new Lightfall Edition of Destiny 2 x SteelSeries hardware. This new Lightfall collection of products are inspired by the colors and designs of the new Neomuna destination, as well as the new subclass Strand. However, that new product flare does not stop there. Customers that purchase these limited-edition products will also get exclusive in-game cosmetics as well.
Let’s dive into the new SteelSeries Lightfall product line.

While we have not tried the Aerox 5 Wireless mouse, we did review the Aerox 3 Wireless gaming mouse back in 2021. That mouse was accurate, responsive, and comfortable to handle. The laughably large battery life, multiple connection options and rich feature set made it a highly versatile gaming product. Here, the higher-tiered Aerox 5 Wireless mouse now features a Neomuna-inspired colorway, ready for Lightfall.

We were able to get our hands on this mousepad in time for our last Trials of Osiris run before the Lightfall expansion release. In both appearance and effectiveness, it did not disappoint. From right out of the box, I was excited by the new Neomuna-inspired design, showcasing the colors of Neptune, with the Traveler and the Destiny logo sitting at the center. By default, the two RGB lighting zones illuminated in the colors of the new explorable in-game destination.

Best of all, its dimensions were perfect for my desk. It played perfectly with the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Wireless keyboard and Rival 5 mouse. The QcK Prism XL gave more me than enough space for me to maneuver without overwhelming my desktop.
With this combo, my last Trials of Osiris run of the season went swimmingly, with my team going flawless on a single card attempt. The surface of the QcK Prism XL allowed for smooth and accurate mouse movements. Right after we went flawless, I was sure to change the RGB lighting zones through the SteelSeries Engine to match my glowing flawless gold esthetic.

The QcK Prism XL Mousepad | Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition will retail in the US for $69.99.
KontrolFreek Performance Thumbsticks | Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition – Inspired by Destiny iconography, the laser-etched design and purple color scheme bring the Destiny 2 expansion, Lightfall, to new heights as players join the fight against the Shadow Legion. With a versatile dual-height combination, the KontrolFreek Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition Performance Thumbsticks stand up to the intense demands of competitive online play. Adding 10.0mm of height to original stock controller sticks for increased arc distance and precision, the high-rise Thumbstick reduces the amount of force required for movements, decreasing hand fatigue, and improving accuracy, while the mid-rise Thumbstick enhances overall control. The result is maximized agility, which allows players to optimize their in-game sensitivity. KontrolFreek Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition Performance Thumbsticks include a code for the Luminescent Precision emblem, designed specifically for the Destiny 2 x SteelSeries collaboration.

I did not get the chance to use these thumbsticks just yet as I really wanted to squeeze in that keyboard and mouse Trials run. However, I at least like what I see already. The thumbsticks feature a rubbery and “grippable” texture with a very Strand-like appearance. It is actually fitting considering the properties of the new Strand subclass, offering mobility while allowing you to snag your enemies with “entangle”.
KontrolFreek Performance Thumbsticks | Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition will retail in the US for $19.99.
Nova Pro Booster Pack | Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition – Gamers can personalize their award-winning Nova line of headsets with the limited-edition Destiny 2 speaker plates and headband as they join the fight against the Shadow Legion. The Nova Booster Pack | Destiny 2: Lightfall Edition will retail in the US for $34.99.
Arctis 7+ | Destiny2: Lightfall Edition – The Arctis 7+ Wireless Destiny 2: LightfallEdition Headset channels the sounds of Neptune’s gleaming megacity of Neomuna while delivering crisp audio and comms across all gaming platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
