One of the most popular lines in all of mice geared towards gamers has made its triumphant return. E-Sports fans rejoice as SteelSeries has graced upon us the Sensei Ten. Why ten you ask? Well, this is the 10 year anniversary of the original Sensei Mouse, one of the original mainstream gaming devices. One of my personal favorites throughout the last ten years of gaming on PC.

The SteelSeries Sensei Ten has retained the classic design of Sensei’s of old while keeping up with all the modern trends. This is the perfect combination of “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” and “keeping up with the Jones’.”
Like previous editions on the Sensei, the Ten is a comfortable, ambidextrous gaming mouse. It feels comfortable in my hand, and I have slightly bigger hands and sometimes ambidextrous mice can be a little small. This is not the case as the size, much like its predecessors.
The Sensei Ten‘s sleek design has not been complicated. It has 8 programmable buttons, including two on each side to support the right-handed folks, as well as all of our left-handed friends. On top of the mouse like many of the newer generation of gaming mice, the Sensei Ten has a DPI quick select. This mouse does have onboard memory allowing you to save your profiles and take them on the go with you.

Using the SteelSeries Gaming Software you can fully customize the RGB display. Also while you are at it you are going to want to customize it well beyond just its looks. You are going to want to program the DPI profiles to your liking. With a new and exclusive TrueMove Pro Sensor you are able to crank up with DPI up to 18,000. That’s crazy high, especially with a polling rate of 1,000Hz. That makes this mouse super reactive, and with the ability to change it on the fly you can truly cater it to work however you want regardless of the game and your personal play style. This also allows the Sensei Ten to be a lot more than just a gaming mouse. I’m able to use this for gaming, as well as productivity. Because there is no burden on extra buttons, it’s slick look bodes well for office usage.
The mechanical switches are rated for 60 million clicks. That is 60,000,000 CLICKS! That’s crazy high and this very well could be the mouse you use for the next ten years until the SteelSeries Sensei Twenty comes out in 2029. Alright, there is no evidence of that being a thing, but you know you are once again in good hands with SteelSeries and their brand new take on the Sensei series.
Overall the SteelSeries Sensei Ten feels great, looks great and operates just as I would expect any high-end gaming mouse to operate. If you are cool with a wired mouse (which I prefer) then this will be a tough one to pass up. Coming in fairly at $69.99 this would make a great addition for any gamer looking to upgrade their set-up, or just someone still rocking am older model Sensei. You can order it right now on Amazon and I would highly encourage you to do so. This mouse is easily the best gaming mouse I’ve had the pleasure of using in 2019 and as you all know I’ve played with my fair share this year.
