Our Finnish friends with their Goth Rock are back with their tenth studio album “Back In Blood” and was released by The End Records. If you have no idea who The 69 Eyes are, you are missing out. They are a modern Glen Danzig spotlighted a couple of times on Viva La Bam. Speaking of Bam…love him, hate him, he’s rich. Disgustingly rich. He does what he wants and what did he do? Other than make a complete ass of himself on a daily basis he also directed the video for their first single from this album, “Dead Girls Are Easy.”
For me, this band has been off and on but “Back In Blood” is definitely on! They seemed to have evolved a little bit since their last couple of CDs and really over did themselves with this CD. This CD is not for you Twilight fans, it’s more for the True Blood fans out there! Here’s a track listing and I really do hope you get the chance to check out this CD.
Here’s an interesting tidbit of information for you crazy kids out there. Jyrki, frontman for 69 Eyes is actually a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Finland. He’s been working on a campaign for prevent the trafficking of children in South Africa AND was awarded The Outstanding Young Person of the World award for his super fantastic deeds. You too can be a great person too if only you would go out there and do something!

Now onto some other business. Have you ever heard that song with the lyrics stating “I want to take you to a gay bar”?
If you have and you have no idea who that band is let me be the first to tell you about Electric Six. If Neil Fallon from Clutch and Freddie Mercury from the legendary band Queen were to have way too many drinks one night and had an ugly ugly child, it would be known as Electric Six.
Electric Six is a six piece band from the always rocking city of Detroit. As for mainstream success, really isn’t a whole lot outside of ‘Gay Bar’…until now. Their new album entitled ‘Kill’ is simply sensational. I listened to it nonstop for a week. Every song is quite diverse and a lot of fun. Their first single; “Body Shot”; has been released with a video. Please take note that the video is explicit…and not just a little bit. Unless you have a super awesome boss, checking out this video at work is NOT suggested.
‘Kill’ comes out Oct. 20th and is a CD that you really need to have in your collection. You will not be disappointed. Check them out during their gigantic U.S. tour:
